An Autonomous Mizusumachi System

Multi-agent logistics under stochastic demand in an industrial plant

This project presents a multi-agent autonomous mizusumachi system for an industrial plant with three assembly lines. Each robot agent transports materials from downstream processes to upstream ones while demand and resource availability evolve stochastically.

The study evaluates three core questions:

  • How the number of robots/agents affects overall system performance.
  • Which agency model performs better in this environment (cooperative vs. free-agent behavior).
  • Which personality ratio improves service quality and logistics stability.
